Reworking "Home of the Heart"

Last summer I produced a new coffee table plexi-art piece called "Home of the Heart". I never felt quite satisfied about the work. It lacked some punch in my view, although I particularly liked the large voids in the work where you can see right through it. So I just brought it back to my studio and am reworking it by adding additional layers. Here is a before shot and after for the first new layer of gold and crimson. The additional layer shot is still wet so this is a shot of what I call "the wet side". When this is dry i will add a powder blue, light and dark purple layer. The odd "blue bars" that you see are simply supports to raise the work off the worktable.

.....And now the 2nd pour. A deep dark purple, a lighter metallic purple and a metallic powder blue...
