Splashy PlexiArt in the making!
Another set started, and wood polishing!
This morning I had to do light surgery on one of my embeded leaves, to relieve it of trapped oil. Then I started the two other larger panels. I didn't need to use colour coded paper here as before as I was only working with 2 leaf elements, and the other is drawn out just to give me direction as to the form of the resin. And finally i zipped over to Barry's shop and polished (using brown paper - no kidding!) my Alder table tops. OMG, if i must say, they are lookin BEAUTIFUL! Gotta LOVE that Tung oil!
Now for some Process pics....
Now for some Process pics regarding the creation of my plexi art. Here is the beginning of the process with a explanation attached to each picture. These 3 pieces are all for the 3 small dining room tables I have created.
In the Last few days...
racing madly to get my tables ready for the show! I plan on having just one in the show itself, although all 3 will be pretty much ready to go. This race has involved, MORE Epoxy work, more sanding, more ebonizing, more sanding again, and FINALLY... the first sealer coat of tung oil on EVERYTHING wood! Many thanks again to Barry for his expert carpentry help on all this! Oh, and a young Buck popped by for a visit.
